Job Title: Online Marketing Specialist

Reporting to: Director, Marketing & Sales Programs
Location: 123 Commerce Valley Drive East, Markham, Ontario

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Sales Programs, the Online Marketing Specialist works as part of Camilions Marketing Team and possesses excellent team, customer relationship and e-marketing skills

This role is the perfect opportunity for the individual who has specialist knowledge in e-marketing but wants to gain more general marketing experience and who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. This position will enable you to be involved in a variety of marketing programs, increase your overall marketing knowledge and make a real contribution to the bottom line.

You are a proven online marketing specialist with strong organizational and administrative skills. You are also proficient in Microsoft Office applications, fluent with HTML, possess solid e-marketing experience with web affiliate and search engine optimization programs, lead generation initiatives such as e-mail campaigns and e-newsletters, updating and maintaining websites, enhancing conversion rates and visitor experiences.

Principle Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Marketing team, you will:
  • Coordinate and provide support for the development, planning and execution of all e-marketing initiatives including search engine optimization, Blog, Podcast Program, in-bound marketing, online knowledge base, customer portal for self service to product documentation, Adwords, RSS Feed, email deployments and a corporate e-newsletter. This would also include regular reporting on program results.
  • Coordinate the ongoing development and maintenance of the website including HTML coding of content, graphics, charts, etc., throughout the site.
  • Coordinate e-marketing campaigns including the HTML coding and deployment of email blasts and e-newsletters.
  • Research, recommend and implement web best practices to constantly increase conversion rates, site usability and stickiness, resulting in increased inbound inquiries
  • Analyze and report on web-related campaign results on an ongoing, timely basis.
  • Support database maintenance initiatives and enhancements by overseeing administration and coordination of the house list within Salesforce.com, as well as all data entry of new leads/contacts and all future requirements relating to list rentals for future marketing campaigns i.e. direct mail and email.
  • Coordinate all search engine optimization initiatives including creating and maintaining regular reporting with the focus on key metrics.
  • Coordinate PPC programs and regularly monitor all aspects of the program to drive traffic and conversions to the website.
  • Review reports and provide weekly analysis of paid keyword campaigns i.e. which keywords are performing, overall performance of all keywords, recommendations for changes/additions/deletions to the overall program.
  • Ensure that text and creative content include targeted and relevant keywords and that the website is functioning correctly.
  • Other tasks or projects as assigned.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years marketing experience in a similar role within the hi-tech sector
  • 2 years online marketing experience with a solid understanding of web technologies and experience coordinating web affiliate and search engine optimization programs
  • E-Marketing experience including e-mail marketing campaigns, Blogs, Podcasts and other social media marketing for B2B executives; websites, and e-newsletters as well as experience with design, navigation and usability of websites, title tag / meta tag development, web programming, web graphics, content editing, updating and maintenance
  • Vertical, business-to-business (B2B) market expertise in insurance/financial services an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow through on projects
  • The ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Continually drive for results and highest quality standards
  • Excellent written communication skills including the ability to edit and proofread marketing materials
  • Sound judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and meet tight deadlines
  • Extremely organized with the ability to simultaneously and effectively manage diverse assignments and tasks
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Superior working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), HTML, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong working knowledge of database management
  • Experience with Salesforce.com would be an asset.

Education:

  • A post-secondary education with a focus in Marketing or Business Administration
