Job Title: Program Manager/Senior Project Manager
This role requires 10+ years experience in an insurance or insurance software vendor environment, delivering complex enterprise software solutions for external clients.
The Program Manager/Senior Project Manager has a proven ability to oversee large, complex, multi-faceted projects involving budgets of over $10 Million, and can effectively represent Camilion with senior customer executive teams, steering committees and stakeholders. This role requires a proven, successful track record with project management methodology/practices; and a demonstrated ability to communicate at both a business and a technical level with external clients, client consulting teams, project team members, and senior management. The Program Manager/Senior Project Manager will oversee and be hands-on as necessary in solidifying the insurance practice, preparing customer proposals, project plans, and resource assignments, understanding Camilion's products and services and committing to a high degree of service to our customers.
Key customers include world-leading insurers such as AIG, ACE, Cincinnati Insurance, Markel Insurance and ING and hence this position will entail travel to customer offices in the US throughout the project cycle.

Main Accountabilities:
The key mandate is to oversee the successful delivery of Camilion projects to major clients in the Insurance industry and provide a key point of contact for client executive teams. Additionally, the Project/Program Manager will interact effectively with third-party consulting teams engaged by the client thereby ensuring that all stakeholders are working effectively toward a common objective.
The Program Manager/Senior Project Manager will oversee: preparation of Statements of Work through to Post-Mortem Project Reviews, project plans, resource requirements, client relations, execution of project tasks, and bottom line: ensure on-time/on-budget delivery of project commitments.
Key project management activities include:
- Develop and finalize Statements of Work (SOWs), ensure all contractual paperwork is signed/countersigned
- Lead client meetings and high-level requirements gathering
- Develop the Project Charter including project control mechanisms and tools, communication plan and acceptance criteria with key project stakeholders
- Oversee and execute as needed key project management tasks of planning, estimating, resourcing, managing utilization, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, tracking and monitoring
- Communicate with Business Analysts to ensure completeness and accuracy of detailed business requirements
- Manage scope, risk, quality and issues, including Issue/Risk Escalation Process
- Manage project change control process including the preparation, negotiation and management of Project Change Requests (PCR's)
- Participate in Product Enhancement Requests (PER) priority setting and scheduling
- Communicate release cycle plans to client
- Forecast, budget, and manage actual vs. planned
- Provide guidance, direction and mentorship to Camilion project team members
- Manage project team on-site and off-site to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
- Prepare and deliver performance reviews for Camilion project team members
- Establish production support approach and method
- Plan overall knowledge transfer to client resources
- Participate in the continued development of Camilion Knowledgebase, Methodology and standard templates
- Plan resource skill development for Professional Services team members.
Communication tasks:
- Ensure that Professional Services members, senior management, and internal departments, are updated on project status, proactively identifying, resolving, or escalating issues that impact the success of a project, or the relationship with a client.
- Liaise in an effective and consistent manner will all key client stakeholders ensuring that Camilion’s service level agreements are client satisfaction is maintained through to project completion
Resource Management accountabilities:
- Ensure that Professional Services resources are properly utilized, mentored, and assigned, to successfully complete project tasks and promote continuous learning and career growth.
Pre-Sales functions:
- Provide assistance to the Sales organization in a pre-sales capacity as required. Support pre-sales through the preparation of custom demos and Services presentations to prospects.
- Prepare preliminary estimates; assess project scope to support sales effort. Create and deliver project-specific Camilion presentations
Learning Strategies and Programs:

Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 5 Minimum 10 years experience in Project Management leading enterprise software solution projects for external clients
- Track record of success in implementing software solutions for insurance customers
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and direct teams
- Experience in insurance preferred, with strong, hands-on knowledge of the industry from both a business and a technical perspective
- Track record of success in leading projects in a software vendor capacity.
- Experience in managing large accounts ($5-15 Million+) and optimizing relationships with external clients
- Ability/willingness to travel to locations in the US (travel may be extensive throughout a given project)
- Must be located in the US or be a Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident (B1 Visa) with ability to travel to the US
Additional assets:
- PMP coupled with post graduate project management certifications
- Knowledge of Java, EJB, J2EE, XML, OOA&D.
- Knowledge of insurance principles, terminology and business trends
